Devils Head

One of the most rewarding hikes in Pike National Forest is the Devils Head Trail, which leads to a historic fire lookout tower with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The trail is moderately challenging, but suitable for most hikers with some experience and fitness. Along the way, you'll enjoy the beauty of the pine and aspen forests, the sound of the creek, and the sight of colorful wildflowers. The final ascent to the tower involves climbing 143 steps, but it's well worth it for the panoramic vista that awaits you at the top. You'll feel like you're on top of the world as you gaze at the majestic peaks of the Front Range, Pikes Peak, and Mount Evans. The Devils Head Trail is a must-do for anyone who loves nature and history!
