Daegu is the fourth biggest city in South Korea. Dubbing itself "Colorful Daegu", Daegu is situated in the middle of a wide, flat valley. Thus, it is quite literally rectangular in shape, with the subway system forming a stretched X over this region. The city plays host to one of South Korea's largest US military bases.
