Hushan Great Wall, known to Koreans as Bakjak Fortress, is the most easterly known part of the Great Wall of China. About 600 metres of remains were excavated here in 1989. In 1992, a section of wall was renovated and opened to the public, forming a popular tourist attraction. The wall runs for about 1,200 metres over Hushan (Tiger Mountain).
Fenghuang (Phoenix) Mountain is a famous historic mountain in western Liaoning, well known in ancient times as a Buddhist shrine. About 1660 years ago, historically the earliest temple of Northeast China, Longxiang Buddhist Temple, was established in the mountain, and is today regarded as the ancestral temple of Buddhism in Northeast China.
